Are you the kind of person who likes to keep up with all the current trends? As we all know, by their very nature, trends tend to change in the glint of an eye. While some seem to drag on forever, others have come and gone in a few short months. For example, one of the more popular trends to hit the U.S. back in the 90s was the phenomenon of 'at home' teeth whitening. All of the sudden, it seemd that everyone wanted a dazzling set of pearly whites. Now, I'm not just talking about clean and healthy teeth here. Oh no, I'm talking about refrigerator white molars that practically glow in the dark. Okay so Im exaggerating a bit but you get the picture. So, that brings us onto my first question – how white are your teeth these days?
Are you someone who has kept up with the recent developments in teeth whitening, or are your ideas stuck in the 90's? Do you have one of those new-fangled whitening kits? It seem like everyone is buying them nowadays, either from the local drugstore or over the internet. In fact, I recently visited my local mall and its seemds that the drug stores can hardly keep them on the shelves. And its not just teeth whitening paste you can now find strips, gels, LED lighting systems and even established favorties like Arm & Hammer with baking soda and peroxide. It all depends on personal preference but, truly, the choice is amazing.
However, this stuff has been on the market for almost 20 years now and, if anything, it just seems to rise in popularity every year. I do believe that it's an American thing but, as I have found, if you travel abroad, you will definitely find that a growing number of countries are adopting the teeth whitening trend. And no ownder, because it sure does beat grinning with a yellow set of choppers. A growing number of people are now taking the more professional route and are visiting a dental professional for their teeth whitening. Common 'professional' solutions that you can get are Zoom whitening or Bright Smile. Both of these are professional procedures that claim to offer a dazzling set of pearly whites. Basically, you enter the dentist's office with one shade of teeth, and exit with a smile that's about 6 shades whiter. Wow, that is a magnificent difference.
So, are you in the market for a perfect white smile? If you are, then the great news is that you won't have to search very far. These days, you just need to visit your local store, or log on to one of the thousands of websites offering a solution and take your pick from a bewildering set of options. These days if you're not looking to drop $500 (or more) on a professional whitening solution, you can pick up an 'at home' kit for just a few dollars. Brands such as Crest and Rembrandt offer inexpensive whitening kits that can be used at home. In fact, my dentist actually recommended an at home kit top me over the professional procedures because they save you a load of money.
Finally if you're not looking for something as drastic – or as expensive as cosmetic teeth whitening then just pick up a few whitening toothpastes give them a shot. Heck, now you can even get whitening mouthwash so, really, theres noexcuse at all for not getting that bright smile you deserve.
